The Drookit Dug

Set in the idyllic village of LENNOXTOWN nestled below the campsie fells THE DROOKIT DUG is a nice little pub to stop by at on your road to the highlands, With its irish theme you can sit back with your pint of guiness or whatever your drink is and listen to the inhouse sounds of irish/scottish music or choose your own music from the jukebox provided or have a nice quiet game of pool (free) or just a drink and get to know some of the local characters who frequent the establishment.

The pub is owned by John McCadden.

This pub has everything you need in a small but homely pub/bar with 1/4 gill measures and malt whiskeys to guiness and most import beers as well as scottish ales, It has snacks available for really competitive prices and also on most occasions the staff will lay some snacks on the bar for free, It also has live music every other month with denny band the Box O Bananas appearing live with there mix of scottish/irish traditional music to anything from the sex pistols to neil diamond or another local band called The Counterfeit Clash who are very big nationwide with there clash cover set of songs as well as any other bands from that punk era.

The pub itself gives you the hospitality you will come to embrace when visiting scotland as you are at the doorstep to the trossachs.
